So basically if you are going to swap a 64 or 62 cam into a 57 eagle engine then all you really need is the cam and P5160074 springs. I installed a jay greene high lift racing cam with his 93 lope tune on my 2011 ram RT.
You get same numbers because it doesnt know you have changed the cam grind.

I ordered a P5160105 mopar performance pcm that is unlocked. And was wondering if anyone had any info on where to start on tuning it before I fire it. My motor has been in for a week now and I have been able to put 300 miles on it so far.
First start was pretty rough as expected but evened out after a few minutes. Driving with the stock tune was very rich and sputtered a bit on the low end and would at idle throw P300 303 and 306 codes. After some driving I put in the in the Diablo 93.

If you can find the 6 speed 64L cam that is a good choice when compared to other custom cams offered IMO. The 392 cam gives no gains below 4000 rpms but then you do not lose any below 4000 rpms and that is good. It really shines above 4000 rpms.
Discussion Starter 1 Jan 29 2020. Calling everyone with a 64 cam in a 57. So I recently have been in communication with a tuner that says that he recommends staying with a stock cam over the 64 cam.
Stating that it looses so much power down low it doesnt make up for it in the power gained up higher. Okay guys I just purchased the 64392 cam because I got a great deal on it. But what mods do I need to add with this.

I also agree with RTJ1S that the cam is the main conservative component in the 57 HEMI. LS GM smallblocks and the 61 and 64 HEMIs have more aggressive cams than the 57 HEMI does. I think that by itself is a pretty good indication of how well the stock 57 heads flow almost LS6 power with a much milder camshaft.

Although if you are going through the trouble it is best to upgrade the pushrods as well. Like I showed in one of my early posts the stock pushrods are not the best quality.
The springs listed above work for a 57 and 64 need shims though. 64 springs are not ideal as they have higher install heights than the 57. Here are some specs which I pulled from various sources including some Hemi books from Shepard.
